I was browsing ENCO for a metal cutting blade for my old Rockwell band saw. Way too many choices! What's your favorite blade?
Thanks,
John

John, I tend to break them before even coming close to wearing a blade out. Once I have at least 24 broken in hand I can justify buying a blade welder.

However, until then, I've been buying the least expensive Enco has; the Flex Back Carbon Steel in 10, 14 & 18 TPI. I don't saw real thin sheet metal very often so that is why I will only keep one 18 tooth on hand to several of each of the 10 & 14.

The trick to making the El Cheapos last is to run them slow, keep them cutting - don't let them "rub".

Once I discovered variable pitch blades for my 14" metal cutting Delta, I forgot about using anything else. . .

Sounds like the variable pitch is the way to go. Thanks for the help everyone!

I have numerous Lennox blades up to 24 foot. Let me know if you need a deal!!

+1 on the Enco bi-metal blades from Irwin. They work well and are relatively cheap.

Jack & Frank,
I can't seem to locate a 93.5 (7' 9.5") vari pitch blade at Enco. Where are you finding these?

Try MSCdirect or DoAll for vari pitch blades. That is where we get ours from.
