Someone just bought that old rusty Brown & Sharp surface grinder pictured in the OP of this thread. I had it on my watchlist and it's gone today. Not that I really wanted it, but I was interested to see how long it would stick around.

Makes me wonder who bought it? Someone wanting to rebuild it like I was thinking of doing? Or someone who has one like it and just wanted it for parts?

I'll never know.

Personally I would go for the Do-All . Simple machine and you can pick up a mag chuck .

I agree, that's most likely the best one of the bunch. Especially from a practical perspective.

I'm actually attracted to the Covel simply because it looks more antique and I'm attracted to quaint looking old junk.
