After using the lathe for a few months I had a pile of chips behind the lathe to clean up and an oil stripe 4’ up the wall. Another problem was the high bays in the shop didn’t really have enough light for me to see good.
So I decided to build a splash for it, with a little space for some tooling too.

Yes I’m still using the reeves drive. It’s loud as heck and I need to spend some time with it.

Wow, now that is a backsplash! Beautiful job, Sir!

I like the adjustable bounce lighting that puts the glare above head level - very well thought out.

Looks like you can also grind some nice lathe tools!
