Burke 123#3 complete, I think, with gear head motor $400.00. Does this sound good. Do not know of any tooling yet.

So long as its in decent shape 4 Benjamins is not a bad price for that machine IMHO. In my area when an old iron of that size pops up its usually gone within hours.

Another question, how hard is tooling to come by for these machines? Should I pass and look for a more modern machine with a "standard" size tooling?

Uses a B&S 7 or 9 taper iirc.
That table has a lever type feed which may not be complete.
This is more of a production mill for slotting or small repeat jobs.

It's surprising how few nice used machine tools are available here in NC.
Pretty much everything is overpriced and/or in dire need of TLC.
