I have my pick between 2 mills. One is an Index and one is a Accra. Both have some tooling including vises. I really like my Clausing 8530 mill but want something bigger . I can check them out tomorrow . I'll post pictures. Both mills are about the same price at $1,500. The shop they are in is closing with owner retired. Out of the 2 I'm leaning toward the Index.
What say you.

I wanna look with you! Not to buy but just to look.

What spindle type are they? Are they the same as your Clausing so that you can use your existing tooling?

Tom, thank you for your machinst eye in checking stuff out. Pretty good, I went to see the 2 mills and purchase a Clausing 13 gap bed lathe. Owner says he has had it for 30 years purchased from the original owner. Comes with Free Chips too but no salsa. It a bit dirty and need a good cleaning. I'm passing on the mills.

You bet. It was fun. The mills were rough. The lathe is in good shape. Very low hours from what I saw he did there. Never cleaned the machines. There was lube on the ways and slides. So it was not run dry.

I got a toolbox out of the trip. Win win for us.
