This being my first post, thought i would share something that was going on in our shop.
I have never seen this done before , and i have been in machine work since 1977.
We have 2 old, pre 1920, American Lathes 30" swing, One headstock was shot and one was not so much.
We swapped the not so much to the worn out bed, 20Ft.
still havent checked alighnment, but got power hooked up and air for the clutch.
We use this old Lathe for grinding Rubber and Urethane Rolls 16-18 In dia. and 12-14 ft. long.
Toolpost Grinder and vacume system.
Took some pics and will Post when I get them out of camera.
