Chinese Manufactured T&C Grinder???

Hi,
Thanks everyone, looks like SHAR'S is the cheapest to go and you get to use the collets that fit the cutters.

Actually I just called SHAR'S and the Freight is $200, plus I would have to buy a extra attachment that will sharpen the flutes on the end mills, that is another $100...(do not know how well that works???)...

Thanks again for all the ideas and leads have been doing a lot of reading and searching.

Really rather buy a used American made, but...

Yup, if you are patient a used American made one will come up. They are not cheap, but you might get lucky. Could also go with an older surface grinder and go that route. Of course right after I committed to my clone, a couple of different grinders showed up.

I made my flute attachment work, but it's not at all optimal. Optimal is air bearing because it glides where it's impossible to make a bushing that glides like an air bearing. The air bearing also keeps the grit from fouling the bearing and making it stiff, or seize up.

Hi,
Thanks, yes, I saw this Aussie vid and he mentioned the grit/bearing problem!
