Cleaning a dirty/oily lathe

My SB Heavy 10 came with 50 years of caked on oil and grime. After trying several of the miracle degreasers (including Simple Green and orange oil), I settled on kerosene, stiff brushes and a lot of elbow grease. Kerosene doesn't evaporate like more volatile solvents, so you can leave parts soaking in it. The fact that I already had 5 gallons might have influenced my decision.

On the other subject, here's my DD. Just a measly DX with SOHC ZC motor. I LOVE it!

That's a clean one, nice! Hot Wheels just released that exact car in red, I've got one here in the commemorative toy car parking lot in my office :)
