I got this in a package deal. I know it is used to balance the Balance Wheel. What I would like to know is its proper name. The Rubies are in excellent shape and are genuine. Yes it will be for sale once I get all the info on it.

In researching this tool I found that you do not balance, the wheels are Poised. Hence what I have is a Jeweled Poising Tool.

Excuse my ignorance, but are Poising and Balancing the same thing?

Yes indeed they are. Poising was a term I did not know. It was my ignorance, not yours.
