Something similar was posted here on H-M a while back. It’s what prompted me to buy a microscope when i bumbled into one on local CL. I see details in my resharpened bits I can’t see with just a loupe. This has turned out to be a game changer for me because type of cutter and direction of grind dictates whether the edge ends up chipped or not. And this of course has a huge effect on cut and finish. Also it’s very interesting to examine the chips under the microscope. My problem is it can be a long time between resharpening and it have to re-examine/relearn every time. I should keep notes in my grinding station, but that’s too organized.
