CRITERION

Well this is odd, finding this tool is quite vexing. Scouring the internet, any mention of HSS Criterion boring tools is just not found...in fact any HSS in 3/4" shank.
What am I missing? Any advise?

Try 3/4 boring tool. Will bring up a ton you will just have to find the criterion brand

When I served my tool & die apprenticeship (78-82), Criterion 3/8 shank hss boring bars were all we ever used in our small square head boring head. Later went to RBI boring bars, with similar cutting geometry. Both easy to hand sharpen with side of grinding wheel. Was also a commercial sharpening fixture you could use on surface grinder with bottom of wheel.
