I will be using this thread to document my Dawson Cutter Grinder updating, and refurbishing to its former glory and then some. First pic is the entire machine in my shop as it was, but i cleaned the ways before i put it back together after transport. The original Dawson system is functional. I have about 60 wheels of every description, and a bunch of diamond wheels. The second pic is the THEMAC 7 i bought today. I let it run 1/2 hour earlier, and its smooth didnt get hot, nor smell. 3rd pic, this machine was designed to have a 2nd tilting head on the back. I didnt get one, but lo and behold... The THEMAC bolted right on. Not shown, because its at my brothers house still is new in the box CutterMaster Air Bearing fixture. The THEMAC 7 Mounted on the Dawson Cutter Grinder machine. Any Angle, Axis or Plane can be ground. Precision Vernier Y, and Z axis, with a Vernier X axis being engineered to fit with a quick disconnect to allow lever traversing of X. Will hold Diamond tooling from 7 inch to 1/8 inch. Pulley and belt system, 7500 shaft RPM, 5 pulleys adapt and can run from i think 3500 to 27,000 rpm. Original Dawson motor fixed parallel to bed, can take larger stones with the second stone guard. i have the CutterMaster here now, its a lousy pic but you get the idea
