How do you adjust the stem angle on a dial test indicator?

On my compac and interapid you just push it to the angle you want. There is some resistance-maybe around 5 lbs of pressure.

Usually, it's with the mounting lug on the back of the DTI. The DTI must be perpendicular to your measurement.

For the majority of them it is. Use your fingers and move it. Just that simple.
