Likely stamped but cannot tell without seeing inside.

If it's solid, it's likely a lost wax casting or die cast. Lost wax or lost foam gives excellent detail.

No the back is smooth. I think this is made the same way.

If that is on a lighter, for example a Zippo then it would be die-cast and added onto it as a detail piece.

Most of the fine detail bits like that are die-cast and added on later.

How would they securely attach a detail piece?
