Anyone familiar with a Uzi-like training pistol made to fire 9mm blanks in semi or full auto made under those trade names? Basically, it's a metal semi-auto pistol with an switchable autosear that is housed in a variety of plastic outer shells to resemble popular SMG's. I have a friend in the training business who brought me a couple of them to work on, and I cannot find anything as far as a breakdown or possible replacement parts. They are fully legal, capable of only blanks, having a solid barrel with only a vent on the topside. ATF has no problem with us buying or shooting them. I found an elementary problem with one of them and believe I have it working properly, but there has been a hack into the other one, and I believe I will end up making some parts for it.

Found this when I looked today: http://www.historicreplicaguns.com/asi-blank-gun-blank.html
They sell them, might be a good place to start?

A quick read of the reviews said that the plastic shell comes "right off" if you remove the screws and it has a "Jackal Dual" under it. At least that was my understanding...

From there, the "Jackal" looks pretty simple...

Anyway, all I got.

Yep, it's a Jackal Dual inside. Either semi or full auto. I have three to work on. The oldest one I believe is simply worn out. Empties the magazine every time you cycle the slide. No setting, including full safe stops it. I doubt parts are available for it. It's a Turkish made replica of a Beretta 92, not a bad one for $150 or so. I'll probably see if I can make a donor of the worn out one and get the other two firing properly. Kind of fun, actually. Too expensive to play with though. The guy that owns them uses them in a training camp for kids and guns.

In time, I may try to build the parts if I have the inclination. I will look for parts a bit first.
