Electric Hacksaw Plans

Hi, I thought I would never see these plans again.

Dad made this for the shop many years ago, he had arthritis very bad all his life so this saved him alot of pain.

I think I was about 10 or 11, I remember dad saying, you can look at it, but don't play with it, wait now, I'm talking about the saw you guys.

Somebody bought it when we had the farm auction... and it still worked after 55 years.

Thanks for the nostalgic journey back in time. I grew up devouring Popular Mechanics magazines.
And, they are still publishing after all these years.

I grew up reading the old ones too. I remember were smaller in size then a modern magazine. Those were the days. The magazine is worthless these days IMHO.

They published books of the projects back in the day, found one at an estate sale, lots of interesting things.

Ours was from early 50's maybe.

Has a project using coil of 12ga wire as coil plugged into a line to create the magnetic field and using aluminum disk to be conductive ring to demonstrate the mag-lev tech.

Someday we may build it.
