Oh man how funny! We were at the Houston Space Center and saw this on the Shuttle sitting on the transporter. I'd love to know the story behind this...

Maybe just following a general directive that states, the correct orientation of a piece of equipment must be displayed at the attachment point?

That is certainly applicable to both the shuttle and 747 for this installation.
