Hello there.

I own an EMCO 11CD lathe and also a FB2 milling attachment for the Super 11. I bought one to fit to the other, thinking in error that the lathe beds of the Super 11 and 11CD are the same therefore the mill will fit either.

The manual actually shows the FB2 mill fitted to the lathe, but I think that page must have be recycled from the Super 11 manual.

There is also a provision for the electrics to drive the motor (3 phase) including a blanked switch hole on the control box.

The 11CD bed has the machined groove that I believe will locate the two dowels on the mounting bracket of the FB2 mill, but there are no M10 holes to bolt up with.

My question is, can I simply clamp the FB2 on to the bed and spot, then drill & tap my own holes, or would that be a really bad idea?

If that is a viable option, then can someone please be able to tell me (measured from their own super 11) where the mill ought be located along the bed?

Many thanks in advance for any advice given.

Kind regards,

Dion.
