Finished my vise stand build

Finished this stand for my Reed 4C vise today. I used a 22 1/2" Budd tractor/trailer rim and a section out of a CO2 tank for the column.

Great minds & all that.
My Vise stand/welding table.
After 40 odd yrs. mine looks a bit shabby.
guess I’ll have to paint it again after seeing yours.

Looks good. Did you put any additional weight in the wheel or column?
The reason I ask is the vise looks heavier than the stand. Just curious.

The vise is 185 lbs. & the stand is about 160. The last two stands I built I put 75 lbs. of barbell weights in the bases. I may do that to this one as well. These rims are 4 1/2" larger in diameter and much heavier than those on the other stands, which does make a difference.
