Was going to stay home and work on finishing the collet block today then the wife said, "Let's go to the Webster FleaMarket." (Biggest FleaMarket here in Central Florida...I think.) So I put off the collet block and we went. I'm glad I did, found these for a very low (almost non-existent) price from one dealer.

Afterwards we went over to the Beville's Corner FleaMarket. There I found a bandsaw with a variable speed drive.

I tried to talk the guy down but he stuck to his price. The price was still 'right' so I figured if the band saw couldn't be use for 'light' metal cutting I could always use the VFD to add a spindle feed to my mill.

Then I lapped the collet block ( I had found my lapping compound...right where I left it) and prepared for drilling tomorrow of the retaining pin and the tightening rod.

O yea, the bandsaw runs

Looks like you did well. I try to go to Beville's every time I am at my sisters place in Pedro. (That's pronounced Peeedro not Paydro.) I always find bargains there.
