yesterday my dad flew me up to an airport to go trout fishing. we had to hike about 5 miles to get to a good spot in the creek. found a hole with about 50 trout. caught 4, 2 browns (stocked), and 2 brooks(one native, one stocked). pics to come soon. hit my limit of keepers in 20 minutes! saw some bear prints bigger than my hand(I'm 13) and then hiked 4 miles back on the road. some clouds came in so it was bumpy but a great trip. (the plane doesn't smell like fish:eagerness:) also caught my biggest last week. 12.5 inch brown and rainbow.(I know small fish, but my biggest is an eight-pound bass on a trout rod!)

Sounds like great fun. I'm jealous.

I haven’t fished for a number of years now but I used to be really into it. Mostly Rainbows here although one lake close by has Brooks. I much preferred the interior though — nicer size fish. Tied these four Nation’s Red Dragon flies for a friend heading to the Cariboo at the end of the month. Not my best, I’m a bit rusty, but it was nice to tie again.
