I bought a box of tools for $25. All sorts of stuff: taps, dies, lathe bits, end mills, and six dial indicators. (!!!!). This pair of bits has me puzzled.

Little Giant. 7/16NF20. J537. HSS.

Are they half nuts? Maybe pipe threaders? What machine do they belong to?

Thanks! If you can use them, send me a note.

Note that each of the parts has a serial number (J537) and should only be used with it's matching (same serial number) partner. That's why the previous owner wired them together.

If you Google "little giant threading dies" you'll find much info, including that they're still available new.

Thanks for the info. Anybody want or need them?

What made those nice was the ability to adjust the thread size for fit . I have a set and sometimes they need to cut a hair tighter or looser. There very good dies and last forever even in a machine shop .
