I went to buy a 1 ton engine crane since it's on sale for $179, and they have a coupon to bring it down to $139. So we wait quite a while for someone to become available to grab it for us (making us buy other stuff while we waited, which was probably their evil plan) and when we go to pay for it, the coupon code wouldn't work.
So what do they do? The manager did a manual discount and rung it up for $99! No explanation why, and maybe I was missing some other better deal, but they didn't have to do that in any case since I wouldn't have known.
Glad I broke down and decided to buy one instead of rigging a hoist.
