Any advice on cutting this? It seems a bit more gummy than other steels, and the chips are coming out long and dangerous. Not breaking, and slinging around the work piece.

Parting was terrifying, but it did part with a carbide insert under powerfeed at 1000 rpm. Was struggling to form chips at a slower speed, and the parting chips were very different than the turning chips. Almost like they were hardening and breaking off.

light cuts with power feed while turning leaves a great finish, but roughing cuts are just baffling me.

Sounds like you're figuring it out. If you can get a good finish you are doing something right.
