Heat treating seems to be like many recipes in that there are several variations for personal preference. You may already have your own recipe for heat treating and tempering 440C SS and CPM154 SS, if not they are provided here along with the step by step instruction for programing a Sentry 2.0 controller used on many Paragon kilns. The recipe will work the same regardless of your kiln type. CPM154 can also be oil quenched, although I find the air quenching works quite well and saves the hassle of having to maintain a bucket of oil. As always, I hope this helps someone out when they need it.
