Hi guys,
I have this set that is sold on Ebay from a few years ago. The holder has a 5/8” shank.
It’s a 60 degree triangle, T
I think it’s 11 degrees, P
Tolerance ?
Chip breaker? Maybe T or H?
The size is 3/8- circle, 3
Thickness is 5/32, 2.5
Radius is variable, maybe 2 or 3?

Considering many of you probably have a set like this or maybe the smaller shank version, I’m hoping you can help me nail down an insert that will fit.
I am making a fly cutter and I plan on using the left hand turning holder. A larger radius is better right?

Thanks.

Size tbd until we get a banana for scale ;)
Lol

I'm pretty sure they are 32.5_ size, I used to use em a lot. Jeff did say they are 3/8 I.C. plus he has 5/8" shank holders. 1/2" to 3/4" shank holders for screw down triangle inserts usually use 3/8" I.C. size.

Holders for TCMT 43_(1/2" I.C.) are usually 1" & above shank size. They're also not as common as there are better insert shapes suited for lathes that size with that much power. TCMT 43_ inserts look huge too. TCMT 21.5_(1/4" I.C.) inserts look tiny.

if you get low, let me know Jeff-
i have enough for the both of us
