Hitach phase inveter/ speed control

I have finnaly installed the Hitachi phase inverter with speed controller. I works great, my question now is what speed should I set the mill head at. I'mthinking Hi speed in setting three. It's the 6 speed mill head on the Emco Maximat V10-P Mentor.

I would set the belts (gears?) to the speed that you normally used the most, then use the VFD to vary the speed in that range between 30 and 60 HZ. If you need more or less speed for the current project, then change the hard speed, then use the VFD to fine tune. That's the way I run mine.

OK, thanks for the reply. Yes you are probaly right. I don't see any need to run it any faster the needed.
