Hitachi Drill

I needed a corded drill in the he shop the other day and 4 of my 5 were shot. I found a like-new Hitachi with case in a pawn shop. Never used this brand. Any good?

Have a drill and 4" grinder, dad bought before I left the nest.....

Over 35 years old at least.
Still going strong.

Tried the drill out in the pawn shop. Ran fine, like new. Bought it and it brought it home. Failed to notice although variable speed, it is a 2500 rpm drill. Never used a handheld that fast. Man it’s fast. Was missing the side handle but one of the toasted drills had one that fits.

I standardized on Hitachi battery powered equipment years ago, I think they had some deals at Menards at the time.

Just purchased a few new batteries, I think they’re called Metabo now but I haven’t bought any although I wouldn’t hesitate. Happy with them all.
