How does one transfer the register bore ID of the chuck, to the back plate?

Hey Guys,

You need to cut the register bore of a chuck in a back plate for the chuck.

How do you do transfer the dimensions?

What are your opinions, suggestions, tips, techniques for doing this?

Not exactly sure I follow you, Nelson. As far as machining a mating part, I just make careful measurements. That's the fun of being a machinist.
