I pulled the mag chuck off my surface grinder.
The t-slots have grown some surface rust since the last time I performed this maintenance.
I am an Evaporust fan, I was hoping I could scrub clean the tape mating surface to hold some To clean up the rust.
It leaked out.
My goal is to clean the t slots of all rust and debris/grease then apply a product to prevent rust under the mag chuck.
This is a flood coolant equipped Brown and Sharpe SG.
Thank you for your ideas.
Jeff

After an hour plus of scraping, scotch brite and flushing I’m convinced I don’t want to do this again.
The chuck is fine thank goodness.DAE62512-90DB-48D3-AB75-9848C3A3E7E3.jpeg

Do a forum search for "prevent rust". This has been discussed to no end.

You are correct sir.
I assumed the products used for general rust prevention would be different for a flood coolant environment.
Just my ignorance.
Thank you.
