Hello machinists: I am a bit confused as to how to go about selling my PM lathe and mill here on Hobby Machinist. Do I need to donate? not a problem: how much and how do I go about it? Is there a forum just for selling? Maybe also use Craigslist or some other method? I live north of Seattle.

I bought the lathe and mill for an invention I was working on, and did a deep dive into Metrology, the history of Machine tools, watched about a zillion machine tool videos, joined this site in 2013, posted a bit, mostly about setup and how to use the Starrett level etc. . I also paid for a lifetime membership of the Tool and Die Guy educational website. Wow, was I blown away, Him and others like him are on the level of rocket scientists and brain surgeons in my book.

A fascinating world, though a bit of a side track from the path I was on. I will keep my Brown & Sharpe and other Swiss made measuring tools, I just love handling them even though I will rarely if ever need their level of precision again. Thank you in advance for you advice.

this page:
https://www.hobby-machinist.com/account/upgrades

states that you need to be at least a "gold" member ($25 a year) for access to "For Sale privileges".
However, I am not quite sure what the includes......but I believe it means you can post here:

EDIT: this helps explain it:

and this is likely where you'd sell:

Aside from posting it for sale here, I'd suggest using Facebook Marketplace. Craigslist is now mostly a handful of dealers and very few individuals selling stuff....at least in most of the areas with which I'm familiar. I recently listed one of my lathes on a FB buy/sell page for a specific brand and had an online down payment in half an hour.
