I ordered a Fuerda adjustable 6-jaw chuck, since it's what I could afford and I've seen some decent things said about them. I assumed (wrongly I guess), that the adjustment screw would be equally opposed and that adjusting in would be a process similar to adjusting a four-jaw. However, the screws are biased towards each other on opposing sides. There are two screws, about 30 degrees apart on one side and 2 screws, about 30 degrees apart, on the the other.
For the life of me, I can't imagine how the adjustment process is supposed to go. Is this similar to other adjustable chucks or is this unique to Fuerda? Any Fuerda people out there that have some tips? I've played around with it for about an hour now and really all I'm doing is %^!$!# it up.
