Just purchased one of these (Canadian Rockwell) from an estate sale. Unlike most photos this one is only the 6x48 belt sander. There is no suggestion that a disk was ever attached.
It is missing the table (don't know if this is the correct par name) that adjusts at an angle (including, I imagine, 90 degrees) to the belt and has a slot to take the protractor.

A few questions:
1. Is there a source for a user manual/ parts list? I located one reference on line but it displays only the stand & motor mount.
2. What is the correct part name for the table? Was a table in fact supplied as original equipment?
3. Might a "table" be available? Where to look?
4. If finding the table is a remote possibility, are there plans available for a home-made substitute?

Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for your interest.

Have a look at pictures at this website:

My machine lacks the disk & table.
My most immediate need is how to remove the platen - I have already removed the unpowered roller - in order to access the locking lever mechanism (the black-knobbed handle at the lower left of photos 1 & 4) that controls the belt angulation from vertical (photo 1) to horizontal (photo 3)
