Installing the spindel on a 12"x6300

Hi out there, I'm putting my spindel back into my headstock and I'm having difficulty pressing the last inch or so together. I you've done this before, I'd sure like to hear from you. It looks like something will have to be made to draw togther the bull gear and the bearing and the spacer that goes in between. Any ideas are welcome.
