Is this original southbend 9" paint. I cant tell.

There are still some scraping marks but theyve faded somewhat.

Its a model 644A serial 2420NAR7 so if you know what year it is. Even better.

Picked it up for 650, will make a post once im ready with all the tooling


also. the chuck is a cushman 3 jaw thats been painted red.

all gears in decent condition, so well taken care of.

the paint on the socket screws makes me think repainted, but maybe its just from factory.

also, whats the serial number tell about this machine? thanks.

Year of birth =1947. Some of the paint may be original, but most appears to be slopped on by some Bozo the Clown wannabe.

wow, i have another sb9 and i thought it was a 40s lathe, and i thought this one was a new 60s or so. guess i thought wrong. Thanks! and yea the paintjob didnt seem to be original. oh well..
