After fixing a few mechanical issues and resetting the motor and adding new belts, I got yanked away to think thing called work. Finally took some time off to re-engage the project and primed and painted it today. Making progress is a feel good thing.

I always wanted a K&T, but living in a machine desert, I had to settle for a Van Norman 22UL. Looking forward to seeing it make some chips. You have done a great job.

Very nice work and great looking machine! I love the brass labels! I'm curious about what paint and color you used? Primer too? Thank you for sharing.

I used rustoleum primer and their charcoal get oil based paint. Added a hardner to it. Thinned with acetone and sprayed with HVLP gun.

Thank you! I just painted an old drill press with a sherwin Williams all surface oil based enamel which had no thinning instructions and is taking forever to dry. I have had good luck with spraying the rustolium thinned with acetone. I was unaware of a hardener being available for it. Can you share any details? You are doing a great job! Thank you for answering. I like the color.
