Lead Screw Lubrication

i actually decided to use that doing some research...

We use ISO 68 way oil for the ways on the CNC router for my work. That is what the manufacturer recommends for this machine. It has a hydraulic oiling system through the program. That is a beef I have with this machine. It oils fine on one side but because the far side of the machine is away from the oiler it doesn’t get nearly as much oil. I have had them back a couple times under warranty. I find it’s easier to do it manually on that side to make sure. It’s something that won’t cause an issue until it’s far out of warranty. I may as well be proactive.

I haved used lithium grease, 5W30 motor oil, and way oil nowadays.

I use ISO 64 mostly because I have a whole gallon sitting around.

I tried a light grease early on, but it caught too many chips.

i was going to use the red sticky grease...then did some research...thank s for all the comments guys...
