Lead screw shear pin

Slightly off subject, does any one know how to calculate approx what torque a shear pin will shear? I'm thinking the shear factor of that size and type of metal multiplied by 2.
 
It should be the shear modulus times the cross-sectional area, times the unit conversion factors you need. Consult Machinery's Handbook.
