I'm a hack trying to improve my manners, not going back to full red neck fixes, and that would be Gorilla tape....;)
 
A while back before Grizzly closed the Muncy PA store (damn shame that), I bought one of the South Bend branded (#SB1282) live centers, with interchangeable noses, so far its worked great.

I found an MT3 sleeve in an unmarked slip box, is .695 opening in the ball park for an MT2?
 
The one I got is roughly .701”
