Help, I have a Logan Model 6565 14" lathe in need of new spindle bearings. Does anyone have experience with these or know the correct bearing number. I have removed the bearings and think these may be the original (FAFNIR 215WI). The new catalog number seems to be (Timken 7215-???). I can buy new Precision Class 7 bearing sets but don’t know the correct contact angle.

Have you tried taking them to a bearing supply house and matching them? If there's a cross reference available, they should be able
to help you out. Or, you might be able to buy them from Logan directly.

Thanks for the reply.
I have taken them to a bearing house and checked Logan. Logan wants $1500 for them, the bearing house $500 and ebay $350, what is the difference? That is why I need the specs.
