Logan Lathe 6561H

I have a Logan 6561H lathe and I need the electric motor for this machine..If I cant find one I need the horsepower and RPMs of the original motor to see if I can find a replacement I can adapt. Thanks in advance

The 1963 Logan catalog shows 2 HP, 3 phase, 1725 RPM for that lathe. You'll need to work out which NEMA frame

I have a 6560-H. Can get a photo of the motor nameplate if you like. Should be the same; the only difference in the models is the spindle (threaded vs L0), if I remember correctly.

Welcome.
With most older electric motors you will need to source it by the information provided.
RPM 1740
Frame 184
3 phase
Duty- cont.
Service factor 1.2

I have had good luck with Grainger but there are plenty of sources. You may need to change pulleys or adapt the frame mounting holes.
This link explains the frame specifications, dimensions, shaft sizes and length etc.. A 184 frame is a tough one but the 182T is close.

Baldor will run about $900+ or you may find a Lesson for $450.
That's my 2 cents.

Not sure they are still around, but the nameplate has the NEMA code (184) and everything else you need. Could get a Baldor or Dayton motor from Grainger.
