I realize this is an old thread and the OP may well have found what he's looking for. As you might already know I started in the machining business back in the early 1980's. At the time I needed drill bits so I went to the local vendors and purchased what I thought I needed. Purchases included 2 sets of 1/16" - 1/2" by 1/64ths, one each, numbers 1 - 60, letters A - Z, and fractionals 1/2" - 1" by 1/64ths. Over the years some have been broken while others have been been sharpened countless times and many now qualify as stubbies. Recently I wanted to put together a set for use in the field, so I gathered up some spares and put them in an index. I realized I was missing a few sizes so I went online to fill in the blanks.
In any case I've been on a drill bit buying spree for the last year or so, and have found what I would consider relatively good prices for quality drills on eBay.
Recent purchases include:

I just wanted to pass along the fact that quality drills are available for reasonable prices if you're willing to do your homework. These were purchased with minimal effort. All were purchased for less than 50% of the asking prices at popular industrial supply houses. I'm sure they will exceed the quality of those from discount suppliers. Others may find better prices at estate sales, garage sales, and business closeouts, but for the time and effort spent I'm satisfied with the outcome. This should conclude my drill purchases for the foreseeable future. All the bits purchased were made in the USA with the exception of the Freud ones that were made in Austria.
