The best thing I learned after 30 some odd years in the trade is to stop obsessing and just do the job.
I still have a hard time with this and get frustrated if my parts aren't within .0005, but every day I try to let it go.
Tool&Die has messed my head up so bad I cant hang a picture without checking the alignment of the planets and having my level sent out to be calibrated.
I wont even mention checking the nails for runout.
