Machining Shallow V Slots...?

I need a set of small V blocks also, but I will make the V cuts in steel jaw plates that I'm duplicating for a small DP vise.
I just bought a NOS USA made Palmgren DP vise with V cuts in the jaw., and will make some duplicates in Aluminum, Delrin
and other soft materials. Not sure if these will get the V cuts, but the steel jaw plates for sure. I'll probably just tilt the mill head
and use square end mills. It was also suggested to me that I can grind an end mill with a 45° point.

Thank you all. So far the 60° carbide router is the least expensive way to go. and 60 degrees is probably better than 90
for holding round work. I'll try the the end mill on some scrap.

HSS will work fine. I use a HSS 45° bevel router bit for V grooves. If you have one with a 1/2" shank that would be preferred.

Thanks, I'm going to use a special cutter from Melin tool just for this purpose. It's a 90° carbide 3/16" single point cutting tool.
I called Melin and they said it will work. It's only $13.50, so I'll give it a shot. Thanks to all.
