Making a slitting saw arbor

If you desire very high accuracy rough it in a lathe and finish it in place on the mill, place the arbor in the spindle of the mill then put a lathe turning tool in the mill vice and turn the contact surfaces in place using the mill as a lathe, it will never be any closer than that. Do not forget to relieve the corners when doing so.
