Mastercam solid creation

I'm watching the Solid Professor getting stared videos and got a wire frame created and am trying to extrude.

I've went through the vid a number of times and followed in closely and when I click to finish I don't have a solid, just the wire frame. My level is set to #10 solid.

I know I'm missing something that possible not in the video.

The first thing you want to check is that you don't have any broken chains. When you select the chain you want to extrude, is there a red arrow anywhere? If so, that's where the chain is broken and you'll need to fix it. Also when extruding between two chains like that you may want to use the "loft" function.

I finally figured out it was shading. I reset it and about every other time I have to reset it again.
