Mill riser block step so i can reach draw bar.

I have a 1985 First mill j head I added a KBC 6" riser now I can have to be on my tippy toes to reach the draw bar.
any one got an idea for a small step ??

Could you make a wrench with a couple inches offset? If you can reach it on your tippy-toes it shouldn't take too much 'lift' to get to a reasonable position. Of course the awesome-est (in use and time/dollars) would be an automatic drawbar - not really too hard to make. The hardest part is usually figuring out how to mount it to your particular mill.

I have one of these (in grey) permanently unfolded nearby so I can reach the top shelves: cheap and effective.

Sounds like a slat type of wooden or metal riser platform around the mill is in in order.
An added benefit is that reduces the amount of chips that your shoes pick up.
