So I'm on a tear to get some nmtb 30 tool holders for my Bridgeport Boss3 mill. I only got two with it. Most of the "well used" ones on eBay are listing for $50 or so each. However, a couple of Sandvik Corogrip holders came up for $20 for a pair, so I bit. These require a hydraulic pump to grip the tool in a collet. I see the required hand pump listed for $600. (haha! That ain't happening.). I also found the collets. $260 each. (haha! Whew! That ain't happening, either.)

So, now I know why these really nice holders were only $10 each.

They almost but don't quite fit the quick-change quill on the Bridgeport. To make them work, I'll need to turn about .050" off of the thickness of the top flange. After that, I can turn an adapter to fit a couple of my larger endmills, then drill and tap the holders for a set-screw. Essentially make them into Weldon holders.

Someone stop me before I destroy these holders if this is completely unworkable.

$10 bucks each should be worth a try.
