Modified BXA Tool Holder

I did some knurling last night using a armson swivel head knurlling tool clamped too the side of the tool post with a C-clamp and shimmed off of the top of the compound with tool stock.

Also had to do something similar for the parting tool.

The Dorian holder I linked to above on Amazon is able to hold the knurling tool with room to spare. Thanks for the guidance folks!

I had one same situation. I ended up milling the shank to fit a bxa xl tool holder. Haven’t had good luck with knurling results. Way to much pressure for me. Plan on making a scissor type to compare.
