Our compressor is single phase, 7.5 ho with mag starter.
The solenoid air valve we had on ours just was not sealing well.
We found electric ball valves.
Different kinds, one requires power on one wire to open, another wire to close.
Another is spring loaded, provide power, it opens, remove power and it closes.
Swapped out the valve and much better.
Still have the tank ball valve as the connection is a hose between and we can have solid control.
Also added smart plugs so Alexa can control both air supply and compressor.
Light switch is still master.
